Prepaid Airport Taxi Driver Scam (New Delhi)

India is amazingly beautiful country. It is the mystic land of colors where  people from  different religions live together with peace and prosperity. However there are black sheep in every country and at New Delhi airport (Terminal 1 and 3) there are more. This scam is quite old yet very successful and effective. We were expecting three different tourist Lily stone, Dustin Fruson and Justin Mann and none of them arrived when we wrote them an email all of them had the same experience. They arrived in the night between 2AM to 3AM,took the prepaid taxi from the airport and in the middle of the way the driver said he doesn't know the way to the Hotel. he dialed the number from his phone and the person on the other side of phone said the hotel is fully booked. They had no choice other than going to the hotel which he suggested.

How to Avoid:

1. To make sure you reach the hotel without hassles. We request you to organize the airport transfer directly from the hotel.

2. Do NOT let the taxi driver dial the Hotel number; they will make excuses in the middle of the way that they don’t know the way or the road is closed so will suggest you  fake tourist information agencies Where they call their friends who will tell you that the hotel is closed for whatever reason. if at all you are caught in this situation. Tell them you have the car registration number and you are going to call police.

3. Delhi Police Helpline number is 100

Taj Mahal Calligraphy

"O Soul, thou art at rest. Return to the Lord at peace with Him, and He at peace with you"

The Taj Mahal always welcomes each of its visitors with an inscription, written in beautiful handwriting, on the great gate that reads "O Soul, thou art at rest. Return to the Lord at peace with Him, and He at peace with you." It was Abdul Haq, who created this in 1609, and was bestowed with the title of 'Amanat Khan' by none other than Emperor Shah Jahan himself. Along with spellbinding architecture and a picturesque background, the calligraphy done is one of the fantabulous ornamental decorations done on the surface of Taj Mahal. The calligraphy of the Taj Mahal mainly consists of the verses and passages from the holy book of Quran. It was done by inlaying jasper in the white marble panels. These passages were inscribed by Amanat Khan in an illegible Thuluth script. A number of the panels also bear his signatures.
